Scope of Works

  • Following the successful design and build of an oak frame canopy, the customer tasked us with designing a replacement for their existing shed.

  • After putting together a few different proposal designs the dual pitch oak frame was chosen.

Key Client Requirements

  • The client wanted a self contained reading/ relaxation room that took advantage of the fanatastic views accross the Oker Valley near Matlock.

  • Fully insulated and ventilated for year round use

  • Electrics, TV and Internet points were included.

Key Design Aspects

  • Dual pitch roof and an oak corner posts created a visually stunnning design.

  • Large full height anthracite grey timber window and doors maximised light and gave the structure a modern look.

  • Cedar cladding and decking gave a beautiful finish.

  • Built onto an existing platform tight into a corner.

Proposed Design

  • A full 3d model of the proposed design was produced, resulting in a 3d model and full 2d plans.  Each individual component was digitally modeled, effectively allowing the project to be built before any work began. This ensured a true and accurate plan, it allowed issues to be identified and it ensured effective communication of the design to the client, allowing them to try out different options and designs. All this design work is done in house using the latest 3d software.
